Sistema de Iluminação Pública Empregando Leds Alimentado pela Rede Elétrica ou por Baterias utilizando Apenas um Conversor Cc-cc

Este trabalho apresenta uma metodologia de projeto para um sistema de iluminação pública empregando diodos emissores de luz (LEDs) sem consumo de energia a partir da rede elétrica durante o Horário de Ponta, alimentando o circuito por baterias. Além disso, as baterias podem manter o funcionamento do sistema durante uma possível falha no fornecimento de energia pela rede elétrica, operando como um sistema de iluminação de emergência. Estas aplicações são justificadas pela redução da demanda de energia do sistema elétrico de potência e aumento da confiabilidade do sistema de iluminação pública. A aplicação de LEDs para iluminação tem apresentado vantagens devido à longa vida útil dos LEDs agregado à sua alta eficiência luminosa, alto índice de reprodução de cores e emissão de luz direcional. O sistema proposto alimenta os LEDs através da rede elétrica, e através de baterias quando necessário, utilizando um único conversor CC-CC (Buck-Boost). Este mesmo conversor também é utilizado para carregar as baterias através da rede após o Horário de Ponta. O sistema proposto apresenta alta eficiência, alto fator de potência e atende à norma IEC 61000-3-2.
