For Authors
The Eletrônica de Potência (Open Journal of Power Electronics), published by SOBRAEP, is an Open Access journal with single-blinded peer review process to publish original and unpublished articles. Since january of 2024 is published continuously.
By sending the article to the journal, the author agrees not to forward it to other publication vehicles for a period of six months, counting from the submission date, which is the time allotted for the article's evaluation.
The time for evaluating submissions will be a maximum of up to 6 (six) months. This interval will vary depending on the availability and agility of the referees.
1. Authors Responsibilities and Potential Conflicts
The authors responsibilities and potential competing, or conflicting, interests are descibed in the Editorial Policy section.
2. Types of Publications
Full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. Eletrônica de Potência (Open Journal of Power Electronics) requires that authors publish all experimental controls and make full datasets available where possible.
Manuscripts submitted to Eletrônica de Potência (Open Journal of Power Electronics) should not be under consideration for publication in another journal. The main article types are listed below and a comprehensive list of article types can be found here—please note that not all article types are available for all disciplines.
Orinal paper: These are original research manuscripts. The work should report scientifically sound experiments and provide a substantial amount of new information. The article should include the most recent and relevant references in the field.
Review paper: Reviews offer a comprehensive analysis of the existing literature within a field of study, identifying current gaps or problems. They should be critical and constructive and provide recommendations for future research. No new, unpublished data should be presented.
Special section: Researchs can propose for the Editorial Board Special Sections in topics that are in the vanguard of the knolegment. It is necessary at least two Guest Editors to submitt a propose for the Editor-in-Chief (editor@sobraep.org.br) describing the Title of the Special Issue, the main topics that will accepted and the deadlines to submission. Contributions to the Special Section are subject to peer review and benefit from comments and editorial guidance from the guest editors.
Papers already presented at conferences will be accepted if they are extended with additional results or new findings. These articles will be subject to the peer review process.
Letters: Should be concise, focusing on a specific, noteworthy aspect of power electronics. They can discuss recent advancements, and introduce new ideas briefly. Letters are shorter than full papers, limited to 4 pages (including the final version).
3. Submission System
The manuscripts are submitted through the ScholarOne Manuscripts system, using the link SUBMIT A MANUSCRIPT. It is not necessary to be a SOBRAEP member to submit a manuscript to the Eletrônica de Potência (Open Journal of Power Electronics).
Manuscripts submitted to the Eletrônica de Potência (Open Journal of Power Electronics) must present unpublished contribution, including research results demonstrating its technical and scientific quality. In case the paper, or part of it, has been presented or published in any national or international journal or conference, authors must declare to the Editor the new contribution of the manuscript to the Eletrônica de Potência (Open Journal of Power Electronics) and the name of conference or journal of the previous publication. Before submitting a manuscript, verify the Editorial Policy and Guidelines for Publication.

It should be noted that manuscripts must be submitted as a PDF document. Quality of figures and type sizes specified in the guidelines must be verified by authors. Moreover, verify if the manuscript is related to the Topics of Interest of the Eletrônica de Potência (Open Journal of Power Electronics).
a. Templates
Authors are strongly encouraged to prepare the manuscripts using the templates, access the Journal Templates, besides can check additional instructions provided in https://mc04.manuscriptcentral.com/revistaep - Instructions & Forms. For consistency, we recommend using units, symbols, and abbreviations in accordance with the IEEE Standard.

c. ORCID
As a way of standardizing authorship, the Eletrônica de Potência (Open Journal of Power Electronics) recommends to include the ORCID iD of all authors at the time of submission.
The ORCID identifier can be obtained free of charge at: https://orcid.org/register
c. Reviewer Suggestions
During the submission process, the authors can suggest potential reviewers with the appropriate expertise to review the manuscript. The editors will not necessarily approach these referees. Please provide detailed contact information (address, homepage, phone, e-mail address). The proposed referees should neither be current collaborators of the co-authors nor have published with any of the co-authors of the manuscript within the last three years. Proposed reviewers should be from different institutions to the authors. You may identify appropriate Editorial Board members of the journal as potential reviewers. You may suggest reviewers from among the authors that you frequently cite in your paper.
